Redux explained

The formula is (Primary * 1.6) + (Weapon * 0.5) - Spell penalty. N*(N+1)

When this totals 350, you'll start getting Redux...

Armor Use : 146 [46]
Shield Use : 177 [77]
Combat Maneuvers : 141 [41]
Edged Weapons : 182 [82]
Climbing : 105 [25]
Swimming : 40 [8]
Ambush : 182 [82]
Physical Training : 120 [30]

Take the rogue training example above. Add up the primary ranks. You get 309. Mutiply that by 1.6 =494
Then take the weapon ranks and mutiply by 0.5. So 82*0.5=41

Add those two together: 535. Divide 350 by 535= 65% redux.

A dreadnought raptor rakes at you with a razor-sharp claw!
AS: +354 vs DS: +168 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +19 = +230
... and hits for 10 points of damage!
  Light slash to your abdomen!
  Barely nicked.

  Banged your right shin.
  That'll raise a good welt.

Spell penality explained:

N(N+1)  N is the number of spells in each circle.

So if you have 4 spells, your penalty is 20 (4*5) So four spells will roughly negate two levels of redux training if you're around an 8/3 average. Not really that big of a deal...
